Sending Things Home from Saint Barthélemy
Bags fill up faster here than they empty. A week of boutiques in Gustavia, a case of wine, a suitcase that no longer closes on the return flight: sooner or later, something has to travel separately.
I handle that myself. I pack it, take it to DHL, and send it. You get the tracking number, and the parcel leaves the island without you carrying it through the airport.
Receiving Parcels Before or During Your Stay
It works the other way round too. If something has to reach you here, an order placed before you fly in, a delivery that lands mid-stay, equipment sent ahead, I receive it on the island and bring it to your villa.
That matters more than it sounds. Villa addresses are rarely straightforward, there is often nobody on site to sign, and a parcel with no one to take it does not wait politely.
What It Costs
You pay the DHL rate for the shipment, plus a percentage for the handling. I give you the figure before anything moves, so there is nothing to discover at the end.
Transit time and customs are DHL’s business and the destination’s, not mine. I will not promise you a delivery date I do not control. What I can tell you is what left, when it left, and where it is now.
What Travels
Luggage, clothing, boutique purchases, wine, documents, small items. If it can leave the island through DHL, I will deal with it. Anything unusual, I look at it and tell you plainly whether it can go, rather than sending it off and hoping.
